Assistive technology (AT) can be defined as any item, piece of equipment, or product system, whether acquired commercially off the shelf, modified, or customized, that is used to increase, maintain, or improve the functional capabilities of individuals with disabilities. (29 U.S.C. Sec 2202(2)). This program provides consultation services and technical assistance in regards to Assistive Technology and access to the general curriculum. 

• Ongoing student intervention is NOT an element of Technical Assistance.

• Please allow 2-4 weeks for scheduling onsite technical assistance. Scheduling will be on a first-come, first-serve basis and is not guaranteed.

• Region 10 does NOT complete AT Evaluations but will assist your staff in conducting an evaluation.
